After damage occurs (e.g., from a storm), contact your insurance company to report the damage. 1st Daylight Exteriors will perform an initial inspection to assess the damage.
2. Filing a Claim
Once the damage is confirmed, file a claim with your insurance company. You’ll provide them with details of the damage, the date it occurred, and any supporting documentation.
3. Insurance Adjuster Inspection
The insurance company will send an adjuster to inspect the roof and assess the extent of the damage. One of our contractors is often present during this inspection to ensure nothing is overlooked.
4. Claim Approval
After the adjuster’s inspection, the insurance company will determine whether the damage is covered under your policy. If approved, they will provide an estimate for the cost of repairs or replacement.
5. Review and Agreement
We will review the insurance estimate to ensure it covers all necessary repairs or replacements. If there are discrepancies, we will negotiate with the insurance company on your behalf.
6. Roof Repairs or Replacement
Once the claim is settled, we will schedule and complete the necessary work.
7. Final Inspection and Payment
After the work is completed, a final inspection ensures everything meets your satisfaction and the insurance company’s standards. You’ll then settle any deductibles or other payments not covered by insurance.
8. Documentation Submission
Finally, we will provide the necessary documentation to your insurance company to close out the claim.
